I am fascinated by the slow cycles of times of day and seasons of the year and their spiritual significance. My paintings may feature festivals, spiritual themes or everyday subjects.
My work has been published by Canterbury Diocese, Magnet magazine and ROOTS for Churches Ltd. It has also been exhibited in group shows at venues including the cathedrals of Canterbury and Wells, Southwell Minster, the Ammerdown Centre and St James’s Church, Piccadilly.
I studied painting, drawing and printmaking at the Slade School of Fine Art, and icon painting with Sr Esther OSB and Peter Murphy. I worked mostly as a commercial artworker and alongside this was awarded an honours degree from the Open University for studies in art history and humanities and an MA in digital art history from Birkbeck.
Recently I have been focussing on drawing practice and on producing new work in gouache, egg tempera and oils.
