STATEMENT

"Art as prophetic voice" is core to my practice. My work, informed by my faith, sense of vulnerability, bereavement, and my personal experience, centres on addressing social justice issues of the human condition. Art as prophetic voice encompasses an exploration of art, theology and social justice; and the tripartite dialogue between them. Such enquiry and exploration is undertaken using a practice based approach; indeed thinking through making is key to my ongoing practice. By “prophetic voice” I mean speaking out, raising questions. As I believe artists see the world differently, I seek to share some of that vision.
