JOY,JOY,JOY! Into the future with Christian Arts.org

Cliché or not, as a newly join member it was a JOY to be at the Christian Arts 2019 conference, High Leigh Christian Centre 26-28th April 19.
When I say newbie, I’m not a new Christian or a creative person, but I’m new to this fellowship of likeminded artistic, creative souls from all walks of life, professional and amateur, painters, printers, icon writers, textile and 3-d artists, photographers and poets and writers.
The Joyful Idyll of English Art
CA Conference 2019
Cecil Collins wrote the following, “We must, with our creative will, create a world fit for God to live in, then all creatures will live in joy”. (“The Sceptered Bone and Flower”). Collins was the epitome of a deep English tradition of idyllic joy, a spiritual force which is idealistic, mystical almost to ecstasy, and religious. His “Dawn Music” a gouache of 1977, together with his associated “Meditations”, draws together many threads of that tradition.
