About the Artist
Vicky Glyn has developed a second career as a textile artist. Whilst working as a lawyer for 25 years, she gradually studied art at the Open College of the Arts and then for the City and Guilds certificate in her spare time. She is a member of Horsham Artists Open Studios.
About her work
She makes mainly wall hangings with a timeless but contemporary feel, based on ancient patterns. Her designs tend to be geometric and use exciting colour schemes.
They often express a spiritual quality. Ideally she would like each piece to contain a “door into the next world” somehow.
Products for sale.
In addition to the wall-hangings, she makes interior accessories such as bed covers, cushions and bags, table mats etc, in contemporary colours/ fabrics and designs.
